International Affairs
On February 16th, 2021, The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organized the “Go International: Romania & Moldova” webinar, in close collaboration with the RomLux Association and BEROCC, the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber in Romania and Moldova.
This webinar is part of the ‘Go International’ event series, organized by the International Affairs team at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to maintaining trade relations abroad, and to assist companies in exploring new markets differently. Over 100 individuals signed up for this event.

Ms Cindy Tereba, Director of International Affairs at the Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Alain Schodts, Executive Director of BEROCC, jointly opened the webinar before giving the floor to Mr. Cristian Ilie, Director General Adjunct at the Ministry of the Economy of Romania, who gave a general overview of the country’s economy. Following his introduction, Ms Gabriella Mechea, Execurive Manager at Anis, and Ms Bianca Muntean, Co-Founder and Cluster Manager at the Transilvania IT Cluster, gave an in-depth presentation of the developments and current state of the Romanian ICT ecosystem.
On the Moldovan side, Ms Rodica Verbeniuc, Head of the Moldovan Investment Agency, painted a picture of a very dynamic and open economy, looking to bridge the regions East and West of it. Ms Marina Bzovii, Executive Director of Atic Moldova completed the picture with an engaging presentation of the ICT ecosystem of the country, as well as the various incentives that are at companies’ disposal in Modova.
After the presentations on investment and business incentives in both Romania and Moldova, three companies took the virtual stage to share their experiences and expertise in the market:
- Mr. Iulian Popescu, Digitization Advisor of the Prime Minister of Romania, ex-CEO of Softtehnica
- Mr. Tom De Vos, Director Nearshore, Cegeka
- Mr. Cosmin Cosma, CEO, FINQware
Mr. Razvan-Petru Radu, President of the RomLux Association, then introduced His Excellency Mr. Lilian Zamfiriou, Ambassador of Romania to Luxemboug, to officially close the webinar with an optimistic outlook on the economic collaboration between Luxembourg and Romania.
