ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg is a foundation under Luxembourg law, registered in 2007, reactivated after a period of inactivity of several years by its Board of Governors at the end of 2021. Its purpose is to host support and sponsorship activities carried out by ArcelorMittal in Luxembourg, and is thus an extension of the Group's CSR (corporate social responsibility) strategy in the Grand Duchy. At the same time, it is in line with the historical tradition of the Luxembourg steel industry, which has always been committed to its communities.

The aim of the foundation is to support initiatives undertaken by players in the Greater Region in the fields of education, social action, environmental protection, culture and heritage. Various non-profit organisations and foundations currently benefit from the support of the ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg, and for several years for some of them.

Today, ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg is launching its website with a dual objective.

The first is to give greater visibility to the foundation's activities, and in particular to the projects it supports. Some very fine initiatives are being carried out by dedicated, talented and creative local players in one of the four areas of activity described above (see below).

The website also gives non-profit organisations and foundations the opportunity to submit projects, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria, which can be checked directly online. Using a form, available in French and English, a description of the project and the need for funding can be provided, along with the official documents required to identify the applicant.

This website also provides transparency on the governance of the foundation, in accordance with the law of 7 August 2023 on non-profit organisations and foundations.

Michel Wurth, Chairman of the ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg, comments: ‘With this website, the ArcelorMittal Foundation Luxembourg now has a tool to facilitate its activities, from submitting projects to promoting the achievements made possible thanks to the support of the foundation. Our ambition is for this Foundation to play a significant role in Luxembourg's philanthropic ecosystem. It should embody the close relationship that has existed for more than a century between the Luxembourg steel industry and the social body of the Grand Duchy’.
