International Affairs
On April 20th, 2021, The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organized the “Go International: Poland” webinar, in close collaboration with the Embassy of Luxembourg in Warsaw and the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce.
This webinar was part of the ‘Go International’ event series, organized by the International Affairs team at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to maintaining trade relations abroad, and to assist companies in exploring new markets differently. Over 150 individuals signed up for this particular event.

H.E. Mr. Paul Schmit, Ambassador of Luxembourg to Poland, and Ms Cindy Tereba, International Affairs Director at the Chamber of Commerce, jointly opened the webinar before giving the floor to H.E. Mr. Piotr Wojtczak, Ambassador of Poland to Luxembourg and Mr.Grzegorz Slomkowski, Member of the Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, who gave a general overview of the country’s economy. Following their introduction, Mr. Slawomir Biedermann, Chief Expert at the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and Mr. Juliusz Skurewicz, Secretary of the Council at Polish International Freight Forwarders Association, gave in-depth presentation of the developments and current state of the Polish IT and Logistic sectors, respectively.
After the presentations on investment and business incentives in Poland, three companies took the virtual stage to share their experiences and expertise in the market as part of a roundtable discussion moderated by Mr. Artur Sosna, Chairman of the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce:
- Jean Ries, Director Government and Public Affairs, Guardian Europe
- Jacek Kowalewski, Senior Sales Manager, CFL Multimodal
- Raymond Krawczykowski, Tax Partner, Deloitte
Sosna then moved to officially close the webinar with a presentation of the Luxembourg-Poland Chamber of Commerce and an optimistic outlook on the economic collaboration between Luxembourg and Poland. The bilateral Chamber was recently amongst the first to be accredited by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (more information on the accreditation process can be found here).
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Poland, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Luxembourg has created, in collaboration with the association Polska.lu, a web page as well as a short film devoted to the historical and contemporary links between Poland and Luxembourg.
