On 22 April 2021 at 10:00 – 11:05 CET / 17:00 – 18:05 Seoul time, the ‘Go International: South Korea’ webinar was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, in close collaboration with the Ministry of the Economy and LTIO Seoul. The event was broadcast from the Chamber’s studio and was one of the Go International series aiming at promoting 9 Luxembourg Trade and Investment Offices (LTIO): Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, New York, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Abu Dabi and Casablanca, as well as 4 Economic and Commercial Attachés in Paris, Brussels, Berlin and London. This Luxembourg Trade & Invest network set up by the Ministry and the Chamber around the globe endeavors to provide their services as well as introduce business opportunities for Luxembourg companies in their respective markets.
The webinar was kicked off by Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, and Cindy Tereba, International Affairs Director at the Chamber of Commerce. The Executive Director, LTIO – Seoul, Younhee Kim gave a overview of Korea economy, its opportunites and challenges, as ‘Reference for Luxembourg companies interested in the Korean market’, while her colleague Ms. Arum Kim, Trade Officer explained the services provided by the LTIO.
This was followed by the presentation entitled “KOTRA services for foreign companies” (Korea Trade & Investment Promotion Agency) given by Mr. Jaeyong AHN, Head of KOTRA Brussels. KOTRA offers an “One-stop Services Desk for Luxembourg Businesses” during the period of Apr 23 to May 7:
Two Luxembourg companies active in South Korea gave testimonials to share their experience and knowledge regarding their success stories in conquering the market. The testimonials were respectively given by Mr. Alexander Tkachenko, CEO of VNX and Mr. Yun Jung, Paul Wurth South Korea Chief Local Representative.
