Mr. Carlo Thelen, the Director General of the Chamber of Commerce has received the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the European Union, H.E. Mr. Jaya Ratnam on Friday, May 4th, 2018.
The courtesy meeting was preceded by a round table discussion entitled "Singapore’s 2018 ASEAN Chairmanship: Priorities, Challenges and Opportunities” with the Ambassador.
This visit took place in the framework of the Singapore’s chairmanship of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) in January 2018, and Singapore will also take over the coordination of the ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relationship starting in August 2018 and for three years onwards. H.E. Mr. Ambassador Ratnam introduced the main outcomes of the 32nd ASEAN Summit, including the latest developments and opportunities in ASEAN countries.
