Luxembourg’s retail vacancy rates fall slightly

Food retail and pop up stores are taking up more space in Luxembourg.

The vacancy rate in Luxembourg’s retail sector inched down from 12.3% to 11.9% between 2023 and 2024, according to a report released on Monday by Economy Minister Lex Delles.

Both city and village centres have observed this trend, the latest “Retail Report” said. However, retail in city centres is losing space to the service sector, in particular the hotel and restaurant industry, it said.
