New regulations lead to new solutions : Luxhub is back in the REGTECH100 list

News entreprises

After making the renowned REGTECH100 list in 2020 and 2022, LUXHUB is once again recognized as one of the 100 most innovative Regtech companies for the upcoming year. This award acknowledges the recent developments and solutions that LUXHUB has provided to its wide range of customers, located all over the EU.

Solving key topics for Payment Service Providers

LUXHUB has had a busy 2024, operating its CESOP (Central Electronic System of Payment information) reporting solution for Year 1 of the said framework, as well as launching its Payee Verification Platform, an account details and beneficiary name matching service, in the context of the newly introduced Verification of Payee obligation.

LUXHUB CESOP, the company’s cross-border VAT reporting solution destined to Payment Services Providers (PSPs), is currently being used by 35+ customers from 8 different countries. The solution supports PSPs in the creation of their quarterly reports by checking, pre-processing and filtering the transactions that need to be reported. After producing the requested XML document, it also, when possible, enables the automatic filing of the report to the appropriate NTAs (National Tax Administrations).

The Payee Verification Platform was developed to help the same PSPs answer to a new regulatory need: providing their end-clients with a mandatory Verification of Payee service to ensure the security and accuracy of all credit transfers. This VoP obligation was first mentioned in the Instant Payments Regulation (IPR), which entered into force on April 9th, 2024. This key service must be implemented by October 9th, 2025, and all PSPs have understood how strategic VoP has rapidly become, notably because of the impact on user experience and the liability risk.

As highlighted by Claude Meurisse, CEO of LUXHUB, “financial institutions are navigating in an increasingly regulated environment and many of them have chosen to rely on trusted partners that provide niche compliance solutions for very specific topics.

“After the PSD2 wave back in 2019, LUXHUB fully embraced its Regtech DNA and more recently focused on the CESOP and Verification of Payee topics. These regulations/directives might be new, but our company’s goal remains the same: support financial institutions in their evolving and demanding regulatory journey”.

The top 100 companies that help smooth regulatory processes in financial services

The REGTECH100 list recognizes the world’s most innovative technology solution providers that offer products and services in the areas of compliance, risk management, information security and financial crime.

Mariyan Dimitrov, RegTech Analyst director of research, explains: “This year’s list highlights the leading movers-and-shakers in areas such as communications surveillance, onboarding, risk management and financial crime prevention that are working at the frontline of innovation, seeking to integrate latest AI technologies into their offerings to help financial institutions stay ahead of regulatory updates, improve customer experience and bring operational efficiencies.”

This year, a distinguished panel of analysts and industry experts examined a longlist of nearly 1,500 businesses, which was produced by RegTech Analyst. The panel looked to highlight the technological solutions as well as risk and compliance offerings that all financial institutions need to be aware of in 2025.
