The Chamber of Commerce led a mission to Sweden from 3 to 6 December 2024, which aimed to explore potential business opportunities and foster connections in key sectors such as sustainability, digitalization, and defense.
Exploring New Opportunities
The delegation, composed of 20 Luxembourgish companies and 33 participants in total eager to expand their horizons, kicked off the mission in Stockholm with a guided tour of the city's historic Old Town. This cultural immersion set a welcoming tone for the days ahead.
Participants took part in sector-specific visits:
- Sustainability: Visits to Enerpoly and Ramböll showcased innovative practices in energy storage and green consulting.
- Digitalization: The group explored cutting-edge developments at Ericsson’s Experience Center and KTH Royal Institute of Technology’s Robotics Center.
- Defense: A visit to SAAB, organized with Luxinnovation and the Swedish Ministry of Defense, provided insights into advanced defense technologies.
Building Connections
A key highlight was the networking reception, co-hosted by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Luxembourg to Sweden. This event brought together Swedish and Luxembourgish business leaders in a friendly, informal setting, sparking valuable conversations and potential collaborations.
Business Forum and Next Steps
The delegation participated in the Luxembourg–Sweden Business Forum at Epicenter. Discussions centered on digital transformation, sustainability, and defense innovation, with engaging panels and B2B meetings facilitating connections between companies from both countries.
The mission concluded with a festive Christmas spirit, blending business networking with cultural appreciation.
Looking Forward
While still in the early stages of developing stronger economic ties, this mission laid important groundwork. The Chamber of Commerce extends its heartfelt thanks to all partners, especially the Embassy of Luxembourg and Luxinnovation, for their support.
These initial connections set the stage for strengthened relations and future collaborations between Luxembourg and Sweden, paving the way for shared progress and innovation.
