Uber announces today the launch of Uber Green in Luxembourg, making fully electric rides available at the tap of a button. With Uber Green, riders in Luxembourg can specifically choose rides that are conducted exclusively with 100% electric vehicles, directly from the Uber app.
The introduction of Uber Green in Luxembourg aligns with Uber’s global sustainability commitments, including its ambitious goal to become a zero-emission mobility platform by 2040, providing trips solely through zero-emission vehicles, public transportation, and micro-mobility solutions. Luxembourg joins an expanding network of European cities offering Uber Green, reinforcing Uber’s dedication to promoting sustainable transportation throughout Europe.
Uber Green trips are at the same price as UberX trips and the price is visible to passengers before ordering the trip. The initiative aims to significantly reduce fossil fuel emissions, improve air quality, and decrease the carbon footprint associated with urban transportation.
