Inspiring Wo-Men and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to the 1st European Forum on Best Practices in Gender Equality which follows the attribution of the 2012 "Top Company forGender Equity" Award to Bank of New York Mellon Luxembourg - in recognition of the great results demonstrated by BNYM Luxembourg in the recruitment, retention and advancement of a balanced percentage between men and women at all levels of its hierarchy.

The Forum is part of the initiative "Inspiring Woman of the Year & Top Company for Gender Equality" Awards placed under the patronage of Viviane Reding, Vice-President of the European Commission and of Xavier Bettel, Deputy - Mayor of the City of Luxembourg.

As already announced, the Top Company for Gender Equity award process is meant to be about more than finding a winner. Inspiring Wo-Men aims at providing a regional platform for discussion of successful strategies and best practice to improve gender balance in decision-making positions, as well as offering access to benchmarking information to enable candidate companies to compare their performance to the industry standards as well as to the performance of Bank of New York Mellon Luxembourg, awarded Top Company for Gender Equity 2012.

At this first edition of the Forum, CEOs, managing directors, gender and HR managers from leading companies will engage in discussions to share their perspectives and insights on issues and proven solutions for the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women at all levels. The Forum will feature sessions tied to demonstrated outcomes in increasing the representation of women, as well as in their retention and advancement.
