Antwort is pleased to announce the launch and first closing of its feeder fund into Onepointfive Thematics SCS, a fund initiated by Onepointfive Capital Partners and Njord Alternative Investments, both based in Oslo, Norway.
Onepointfive Thematics SCS is a fund of funds that strategically invests in growth-stage specialist funds, targeting critical sectors such as food & agriculture, life sciences, clean energy, and water. These sectors are at the forefront of sustainable development and innovation, driven by global challenges such as resource efficiency, health, and environmental sustainability. By focusing on these areas, Onepointfive Thematics offers investors diversified exposure to industries with high growth potential.
Jon Eivind Stø, one of the founders of Onepointfive, comments, "Our fund-of-funds model ensures that we leverage the power of specialist funds to drive meaningful change in sectors undergoing rapid transformation. By focusing on high-growth areas like food, life sciences, clean energy, and water, we enable investors to participate in developing essential industries.
Vinayak Bhattacharjee, managing partner of Antwort Capital states, “This investment segment is extremely promising as governments and other institutions around the world increasingly intervene to alter consumption and production patterns to ameliorate climate change. The development of new product markets and technologies has already altered existing businesses and created brand new ones, increasing the breadth of investment opportunities in early and mid-cycle businesses.”
Through a partnership with NKF, a leading Norwegian wealth manager, family offices and private individuals have shown substantial interest in Antwort’s feeder fund which invests directly in Onepointfive Thematics. This dedicated Antwort feeder fund began fundraising only a few months ago during the summer. “The speed of fundraising to achieve a first close of the Antwort feeder is a testament to the quality of the Onepointfive management team and investment strategy, combined with the cost-efficiency of Antwort’s feeder fund” adds Vinayak.
