High-level keynotes, individual Business2Advisors meetings with market experts and 9 Directors from the Luxembourg Trade and Invest Offices, 6 practical seminars, 7 stands featuring services and best practices of selling abroad: the Chamber of Commerce hosted the second edition of its Go International Day on 24 June with more than 200 participants. The event was open to all Luxembourgish companies, from start-ups and SMEs to big and already international players.
Operating abroad from Luxembourg should not be complicated, as there is the whole network of useful contacts in Luxembourg and abroad that is available to help - this was one of the main messages conveyed at the opening ceremony in the presence of H.R.H. the Crown Prince of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Carlo Thelen, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce.
As Carlo Thelen pointed out: “Since its announcement in 2016, the Luxembourg Trade & Invest strategy transformed Foreign Trade into a collaborative and efficient endeavor among various partners who work closely and efficiently. This strategy shows a cohesive network at all levels, united in the common goal of advancing our economy and bolstering our companies across all aspects of international engagement.” Additionally, he has expressed his gratitude to H.R.H. the Crown Prince and Xavier Bettel for their participation in trade missions and fairs. To highlight a few notable occasions this year, recent Official Mission to Japan, the State Visit to Belgium or the National Pavilion at VivaTech Fair in Paris have been mentioned.
Following the opening ceremony, the programme of the event was composed with 6 workshops addressing key aspects of foreign trade:
