The Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, together with AWEX (the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency), will organize a multi-sectoral trade mission to Ukraine from the 22nd to the 27th of April 2018.
The joint Trade Mission will start in Kiev and continue its program in Dnipro and Zaporijia. The participating companies will have the opportunity to take part in business-to-business meetings with local companies in all three locations.
Ukraine is a country which, after the 2014 Euromaidan Revolution, embarked on an ambitious process of economic reforms. The free trade agreement signed between Ukraine and the European Union, which entered into force on the 1st of January 2016, strengthens the economic ties between Ukraine and the EU and, in particular, lifts a large majority of customs barriers. Furthermore, the Double Tax Treaty between Luxembourg and the Ukraine has entered into force on January 1st this year.
Ukraine is and remains a market of the future for our companies especially in the following sectors: environment, public health, agribusiness, construction, ICT, transport and finance.
Companies will be able to choose whether they solely join us in Kiev (the nerve center of the country's economy) or if they join us for the entirety of the mission to Dnipro and Zaporijia (located about 500km southeast of Kiev on the right bank of the Dnieper, a major industrial center of Ukraine: metallurgy, automotive, machinery and agricultural equipment, chemistry, textile, etc.).
In case of interest, you are kindly requested to duly complete the linked registration form no later than March 21st, 2018.
